Spring Break

I have been a busy girl on my week off. I have made several things and have had a pretty good time with it. The more I work on these things, the more I learn. The best part about working with "old stuff" is that mistakes don't ruin a project. That is a good thing for me!!! Another good thing is that everything that I do is unique. No piece of wood or antique knob will ever be the same. I love that. I am
trying to get more creative with what I actually repurpose and how I use things. I hope you like what I have done. Again, if you are interested in purchasing anything, comment or email me at milliehsmith@yahoo.com. If it is sold, most likely I can make something similar. If they colors don't work, most likely I can make something similar with the color of your choosing!

SOLD!!! Plank frames hold 4x6 pictures. Can be made and painted to match any decor. A single frame is priced at $25 and it is $45 for two.

This Rustic Plank Frame is smaller than the others I have done. It holds a 5x7 picture and is a sage green color. It has some very cute small locks on each side of the glass. I loved how this turned out. It is priced at $25.

Small Rustic Plank Frame is a deep orange. Priced at $20.

Small R
ustic Plank Frame, light blue, holds 4x6 picture. Priced at $20.

SOLD!!! This Rustic Plank Frame holds an 8x10 picture and has antique knobs on each side. I love this piece! It is priced at $35.

SOLD!!! This is a Rustic Plank Frame that holds an 8x10 picture. It can be recreated for $30.

This was my first attempt at a window. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. It is currently holding an 8x10 (thanks to my nephew for filling in on the picture for me!) but could hold a larger photo or several smaller ones. It is priced at $60.

This is my latest shutter I repurposed. I put a mirror in the top half and added antique knobs in the middle. It could be used in a foyer to hang jackets on or in a bathroom to hang towels. It is priced at $75.

This is another Rustic Plank Frame. This one is a beautiful Cypress plank! It holds an 8x10 picture. It is priced at $40.

Rustic Plank Frame with antique wooden knobs. Holds 8x10 picture. Priced at $35.

These are Bead Board Key Hooks. These are probably my favorite things I made over break! They are priced at $25.

Repurposing Furniture

This is a chest of drawers that my mom used growing up. I felt like it needed a little sprucing up! Take a look at the pictures to see the "new life" I was able to give it.

This is the finished product. I am pretty proud of this. It turned out better than I expected.
It is not for sale but I will be happy to repurpose any furniture that needs "new life." Prices vary depending on size of piece and condition.

This is the top made from bead board.

My Creations So Far

This is a "Rustic Plank Frame" created from an old piece of wood. It is decorated with strike plates from old doors and holds an 8x10 picture.
This was a gift for my aunt but can be recreated for $30-$50.

These "Plank Frames" will hold 4x6 pictures. These are for sale. They are $25 each of $45 for the pair.
I can create these in any color you choose. I can also make them to hold larger pictures.

For lack of a better name, I will be calling this "bead board art." It is repurposed, framed bead board. It is 13in.x13in.
This I made for a friend to put in her nursery. I am planning on adding large initial in the middle to finish it off.
Although this one is not for sale, I can recreate it using any colors and I can add any initial. This is priced starting at $40 depending on the size. (Add $5 for initial)
I am planning on creating more things using bead board. So, stay tuned for more bead board art.

This is a shutter with a mirror. It has vintage vintage knobs good for hanging towels in a bathroom or jackets in a foyer. It also has vintage strike plates on both sides of the mirror.

This was my first official sale. However, it can be recreated! These are for sale from $60-$125 depending on the size and condition of the shutter.

The Start

This is the piece that started it all. This is the mantle from the house my grandmother grew up in. It is basically a large board that I turned into a picture frame. The glass for each "frame" is from windows of the same house. Sorry folks, this one is not for sale and can't be recreated...it's PRICELESS!

Repurpose

I have found a new found talent...repurposing old things. It is a fun hobby and some people say I am good at it. Never knew I had a creative bone in my body. This is just a place for me to showcase some of these things. Most things are available for sale or can be recreated. Please let me know if you are interested!

I have decided to call this "new thing"
All Things Beautiful, based off Ecclesiastes 3:11. God makes all things beautiful in its time, a truth I am so very thankful for. He has also put a longing for Himself in everyone's heart. For this reason, 10% of every sale will go to missions. That way men and women around the world can be funded to fulfill the Great Commission and give people the Living Water they long for.

I hope you enjoy these creations!
